Ajax McLean Community Centre

Advanced Canadian Contracting Inc completed interior renovations at Mclean Community Centre located in the Town of Ajax from August 2, 2016 to October 10, 2016. The Scope of work consisted of retiling the pool deck area, gutter, floor and wall tile of large and waiting pool, replacement of the acoustic panels, sprinkler work, whirlpool repairs including drain repairs, replacement of millwork in the lifeguard office, retiling of the staff change room floor and walls, painting, new suspended acoustic tile ceiling in lifeguard office, lunch room, hallway and other miscellaneous work.

Work was completed in a continuous manner to accommodate the facility tight timeline to resume to their regular high pace community schedule. The town of Ajax and their staff were very pleased with Canada Construction’s work especially with completing over 15,000sqft of tile work with various additions to contract all completed on time, budget and community expectations.

Cloud Gardens Conservatory

The Cloud Gardens Conservatory is located in the busy downtown core sitting in the Bay Adelaide Centre. The conservatory was renovated in 2014 and re-opened in spring 2015. Canada Construction upgraded the conservatory with a new climate control system, shade curtains and grow lights to address the shading caused by newly built office towers. Improvements also included a renewed misting system and a new monorail system to help maintain the mechanics and vertical wall gardens. Other improvements such as structural work, electrical and painting were completed.

Nashdene Yard New Prefabricated Canopy

The Nashdene Yard is a City of Toronto service yard located on the east end of Toronto. Canada Construction erected a salt dome canopy composed of pre-fabricated concrete blocks that was designed to store road salt. The dome was fabricated to comply with all building code requirements and designed to meet Ontario wind and snow loads. Work associated with the salt dome canopy consisted of block work, steel roof beams including corrosion resistant steel for durability and longer life span, and the installation of surface non burning vinyl cover.
